WAL about the Six Thinking Hats

On Thursday, we went to Tabloid Sports.  We used four of the Thinking Hats to reflect on this experience.  Here is our thinking:

White Hat = Information:
  • The tabloid sports were at Our Lady of Lourdes School
  • We did exercises to start with in the Hall
  • There were lots of choldren there, from St Mary's, St Joseph's St James', and Our lady of Lourdes.
  • The big children from St Peter's showed us what to do.
  • We went in the bus.
Yellow Hat = Good points:
  • We did lots of fun activities.
  • the sunshine came!
  • We joined in with lots of schools.
  • The teams had children from all the schools in them.
  • The St Peter's children showed us what to do.
  • We got to play on the Our Lady of Lourdes playgrounds.
Red Hat = Feelings:
  • "I felt excited because Mum came to watch and help".
  • "I felt nervous when I got off the bus because I thought I might mess up in the games.  But then I saw it was fun".
  • " I felt happy because a friend from playgroup was in the same team as me".
  • "I felt happy to see chioldren from St Petrer's who my dad teaches".
  • " I felt nervous about children pushing".
  • "I felt happy and amazed that I knew some of the St Peter's leaders".
  • "I felt scared on the big playground".
Green Hat = new Ideas:
  • There could be some different activities like a bike activity; swimming or pool activities; running races; bat and ball activities like hockey
  • We could have our morning tea break earlier because we got quite hungry and thirsty!
